Everything Eleanor Birthday Card

I am now going to start to make a concerted effort to blog at least once a week, lets see how it goes.

This card was made using the gorgeous, but in my case, under used Everything Eleanor stamp set.  The colours used are Crumb Cake and Calypso Coral, which work so well together.

I used a standard square stock cream card layered this up with Whisper White cardstock stamped with the swirl design from Everything Eleanor in Crumb Cake and then overstamped with the large flower design in Calypso Coral.  I then restamped some more of the flowers and cut these out and raised them with 3d foam onto the single layered images.  I only did this with 3 of the flowers to get some depth into the card.

I finished off the card with a sentiment stamp from Hobby Art, a few gems in the centres of the flowers and a little metal/enamel butterfly that I had in stock (no idea where from).

The final section was to layer the card onto Calypso Coral card and then a subtle strip of Crumbe Cake across the centre back of the card.  A flower was then stamped on the front of the envelope to really give it the personal treatment.

Hope you like!

Reason to Smile Flowery Card - Wisteria Wonder and Lucky Limeade

I know this particular stamp set is retired but you could do this style card with any flower stamp.

I used Wisteria Wonder and Lucky Limeade as the colour scheme for this card and stamped the flowers from the set onto three layered up pieces of Whisper White card.  These three layers were then mounted onto Wisteria Wonder cardstock and matted and layered onto a Wisteria Wonder square card based.

I also then stamped the gerbera/daisy style flower direct onto Wisteria Wonder cardstock with a black inkpad and cut around this.  Mounting this with a die cut leaf from Lucky Limeade cardstock on top of a strip of Wisteria Wonder ruffled ribbon just finished this card off.

I did not add a sentiment as wanted to leave it simple.

Pennant Parade Good Luck Card

This card was made for my friend at work who retired a few weeks ago.  I haven't got a retirement stamp (yet!) and so I used good luck from the retired Sincere Salutations set, which is often on ebay if you are after a set.

I stamped the Pennant Parade stamp set up with Crumb Cake and Not Quite Navy and then punched the bunting out with the builder punch.  I then used the round Itty Bitty Punch set to punch out the stars.  A little bit of Linen Thread, a must for any craft stash, just finished it off.

I really like this combination, particularly for blokes, but the Not Quite Navy is one of the retiring colours, so please order as much as you can before it goes.

Simple Fancy Flourishes - Melon Mambo Combination Card

Todays card is a really quick simple one.  I chose a really perky Melon Mambo background card and topped this with Whisper White cardstock and then Melon Mambo again but punched all the way along both edges.  I have to admit this punch is a Martha Stewart as I haven't yet got any Stampin Up border punches.....note to self, order border punch asap..........

This then had one of the Fancy Flourishes stamps stamped in Old Olive.  I then wiped the colour off the flower head of the stamp with a cotton bud and and dabbed the end of the stamp in Melon Mambo.  Sounds much more complicated than it was.  If you have the markers you could use them insted.  I repeated this three times along a piece of Whisper White card then layered it up on the Melon Mambo.

This makes a very simple card to keep in stock for any occasion or for adding a sentiment on when needed.

If you wanted to recreate this card you would need:

Whisper White cardstock
Melon Mambo Cardstock
Melon Mambo Inkpad (or marker pen)
Old Olive Inkpad (or marker pen)
Fancy Flourishes Stamp set
Any fancy Border punch

Sycamore Street and Tissue Paper Flower Birthday Card

Today's card is made from lovely Midnight Muse card base with a couple of pieces of Summer Starfruit Sycamore Street papers on top.

A lovely white tissue flower is added on the top of this card die cut out with various framelit dies.

This then had a framelit die cut in plain card in Summer Starfruit topped with a white oval punched and stamped up with Sincere Salutations wording "Best Wishes".  One of the gorgeous little resin flowers in Midnight Muse just finishes this card off.

Unfortunately the Sycamore Street papers were part of the Saleabration set so are no longer available but the white tissue paper is available in the summer catalogue and the In Color 2012-14 cardstock which includes Summer Starfruit and Midnight Muse are available for just over another year in the main catalogue as are the co-ordinating resin flowers.

Contact me if you would like to order any of these items.

Happy 60th Birthday - Botanical Bloom (Retired)

This card was made using a retired stamp set called Botanical Bloom, but to be honest, you could make it with any flower and leaf stamp set that you have.  I stamped the flowers and leaves in Old Olive to start with all over the bottom of the small piece of white card.  I then overstamped the flower head only in More Mustard.

The Happy 60th all came from the Memorable Moments set and was stamped in Cherry Cobbler.

The stamped card was then mounted on some Cherry Cobbler cardstock and then a strip of More Mustard was put onto a DL sized card made from Whisper White card.

I could have easily added other things on to this like ribbons, buttons, but I quite liked the clean look of the card.

Pennant Parade In Color Birthday Card

I absolutely adore this card combination.  It is one that I know I will replicate again and again.

This one is using a DL card base made in Whisper White cardstock and then a smaller piece of Whisper White laid on top.  On to this I have stamped out two each of the Pennant Parade stamps using all of the In Color 2011-13 colours.  I have then used the small star stamp from the same set and stamped this up also.

These three sections are then all punched out using the Petite Penants Builder double punch and the star was punched out using the small circle from the Itty Bitty Shapes punch.

The card is completed by stamping Happy Birthday from the For my Family stamp set and a knotted bit of Calypso Coral bakers twine finishes the card off.

I am going to have a go at making some masculine versions of this card with perhaps the Neutral colours.

If you would like to purchase any of the items that make up this card, please let me know, details below:

Whisper White cardstock
Pennant Parade Stamps
Itty Bitty Shapes Punches
Petite Penants Builder
For my Family
In Color Inkpads - Calypso Coral, Wisteria Wonder, Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade, Pool Party

Stampin Up Thank You Cards - Four Seasons

Here are a batch of thank you and thinking of you cards that I put together after Christmas.

The supplies are all Stampin Up and comprise of Four Seasons Hostess Stamp Set stamped in Cherry Cobbler on Whisper White card.  This was then layered up on Cherry Cobbler Cardstock and then again on More Mustard and then onto a Whisper White card.
These were so simple to make and I think very effective when you need to make a batch of thank you cards.

Unfortunately the stamp set is only available until June and as a Hostess set.

Stampin Up Hostess Seasonal Set - Christmas Card

Here is another Christmas card made with a Stampin Up set.

The central stamp is a Stampin Up Hostess seasonal set stamped in Island Indigo and then punched out.  The centre is then restamped and punched again.  This is all layered up and mounted at a jaunty angle onto another punched circle of Island Indigo cardstock.

This was all mounted up on some My Minds Eye Christmas papers layered onto, yes you guessed it, Island Indigo.

The corner embellishments are from Memory Box and are the snowflake corners.

This was such a simple card to do, particularly with all the punches being used.

LOTV Christmas Cards

Almost there now with the Christmas cards I made last year, that seems strange, saying last year!

These two are both using LOTV stamps and very old My Minds Eye papers.  Really simple cards, which I think is what we all need when doing our Christmas cards.  They both have Island Indigo cardstock from Stampin Up as embellishments to the cards, which I think makes them pop a bit more.

Molly Bloom Christmas Fairy

Here are some cards I made using an old Molly Bloom Christmas Fairy stamp.  I loved this stamp but have used it for a lot of cards over the last couple of years so have now sold it on, to make way for future stamps.  I tend to only use a Christmas stamp for two years and then resell to make way for new stamps.
The papers in the background are from My Minds Eye and the circular words are from LOTV.

Traditional Embossed Christmas Tree Cards

Here are a selection of silver embossed cards I made using the same beautiful Christmas Tree stamp which I have had since I first started crafting.

All the cards have been embossed and then layered up onto silver and coloured card with co-ordinating gems added onto them and a splash of coloured ribbon.
They were really simple to make and the ones above are even A5 in size so made some special family cards with quite minimal effort.

Only a few more Christmas cards to show on here and will then catch up with my other cards made for the new year.

Papermania Christmas Card Selection

Here are a selection of cards I made from a lovely Christmas set I got from Docrafts/Papermania.  I took the kit on holiday before Christmas and sat and made quite a few cards from it.

These are not my normal thing, but was very nice to sit and make on hols.
